The International Bank for Industry and Commerce (BIIC) distinguished itself at the 7th International Forum of Foreign Trade Associations, held on January 22nd and 23rd. 2026 in Banjul, Gambia, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba International Conference Centre. The event brought together more than 400 participants from 22 countries, including bank executives, government ministers, policymakers, and leaders of financial institutions, to discuss strategic themes related to the future of development finance. On this occasion, the prestigious “𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫” prize was awarded to 𝐌r 𝐀𝐫𝐬𝐞̀𝐧𝐞 𝐌. DANSOU, General Manager of BIIC, in recognition of the historical significance of the investment in BIIC at the 𝐁𝐑𝐕𝐌, a landmark operation for the regional financial market and for financing the economy. BIIC was represented at the ceremony by Madam SAGBO Honorine, Deputy Director of Treasury, who accepted the award on behalf of the Bank. This award recognizes BIIC's vision, strength, and regional leadership.
